Move ya body like a snake Ma

This post is a dedication to my girl Ally, these shoes were a topic in a "drunk talk" conversation during a night out last night and I told her I would give a little shoutout :)

The first time I saw Alexander McQueen's Spring/Summer 2010 campaign, I didn't even notice the model, Raquel Zimmermann,  but once I saw the glorious shoes that are McQueen, I quickly drew my eyes up the body to a porcelain, doll- like face.

Snakes are one of my biggest fears, so if I was ever in the position to be asked to do something like this (which would never happen), these shoes are the solely reason for me going through with it.

All Hail McQueen!

Shoes always fit

I'm having a rough afternoon. It's difficult not to be hard on myself sometimes, but to completely 100% feel comfortable in your own skin is not something that is constant in my life. I am trying to suck it up and just smile..but when things feel rough, it's always uplifting to look at shoes. No matter what body type or size you are, shoes always fit and they always look amazing. I came across these shoes, and these in particular are perfect to kick my current bad attitude's A$$!

I would love for someone to piss me off when I wear these shoes

H is for Heidi

This breaks my heart to see what is gradually happening to her, but God, what an idiot! I mean, if you want a little nip tuck here and there, I can understand, but to undergo multiple cosmetic surgery enhancements in one sitting is just plain dumb. To think of how risky the procedure must have been is just frightening....

Here is the before and after and the numerous surgeries she took to look "perfect"...(whatever that means!)

Her ninnies look like she is gonna just tip over! This is her second breast enhancement increasing the size to a triple D. Apparently she was quoted say she wants to be a size "H for Heidi"

This is me....rolling my eyes at the moment. I am crossing my fingers that she is done with cosmetic surgery, but I have a strong feeling she has only just begun.

Don't be a Douchebag

Not only is this song so hilarious, but its got a catchy beat to it, and thanks to a friend who introduced me to it, I have fallen in love and immediately added it to my iTunes.

Listen to the lyrics... Do you know a douchebag like this? lol

Meet Mila!

That 70"s show was never a favorite of mine, but ever since Ms. Mila Kunis has left to achieve bigger and better things, I have officially been hooked. Her stunning look on the cover of BlackBook magazine for Dec 09'  was hard to resist posting. I adore her makeup and look in this shoot...Can you say hotttttttt!?!?!?

I can't wait to see her in The Book of Eli with Denzel...Looks like its gonna be a good one!

(Side note: She's with Macaulay Culkin!!!)

Breath....Smile

In between my classes today, I had some thoughts about my new year.

I began my year with a list of things I wanted to accomplish and I'm feeling extremely positive about the outcome so far. I am constantly reminding myself not to get too discouraged, but I can't help it. Sometimes I'm a little harder on myself than I should be.

Deep down, I'm a perfectionist, but care free at the same time, so my biggest struggle is to level both out and just stay confident and happy with myself.  I usually have a new years resolution and it's never carried out throughout the entire year, so I usually give it up by February, MAYBE March. Maybe its the pressure? I'm not really sure, but a "resolution" is a term used so lightly that I don't think anyone takes it very seriously, and its only now, in 2010, I can admit to being a part of this established group.

So, 2010 is a new year with new resolutions NO resolutions. I am choosing to live out my 2010 feeling positive, happy and keeping my worries to a minimum. I have been proud with myself so far, in keeping up with the gym regularly and committing to my school obligations. I will continue to fill my time with things that get me ahead in life, make me happy inside and out and surround myself with people in life that really respect, appreciate and truly love me. These people are what motivates me to accomplish my goals and give me strength when I doubt myself (because, it happens too often..but I'm working on it!).

When great things come my way this year, I will cherish and appreciate it and use it as motivation. When negative things come my way, I'll do my best to get rid of the problem and learn from the experience, but for now, I am taking it all in, being true to myself and not forgetting to breath....and smile.

I've got the Bluezzzz

I feel terrible. I should be in class right now, but I am feeling so under the weather today, however, I couldn't resist this quick post.

After going to the gym the other day, i walked through a small plaza and came across a kiosk of women's beauty products. It was that moment that I felt like Rebecca Bloomwood in Confessions of a Shopaholic, and tried to pull myself away from the kiosk, but I just couldn't. What caught my eye were the numerous nail polishes in the brightest colours. I am usually a pink, red & dark colour polish girl, but when I saw the blue polish, named "Deejay", I had to purchase. I grabbed the polish like I was grabbing the last pair of Louboutin's in a sample sale. I then, quickly paid, and continued on my way out of the mall and on my way home.

It took a while for me to get used to the colour. I never thought this shade of blue would work on me, but I am officially in love. I used one of my fabulous birds, blueberry as a prop, and he was cooperative enough to let me get in some pictures. Isn't he adorable?

What do you guys think? Oui? Non?

Locks of Love

I love doing hair. Cutting, dying styling, you name it. I just love to do it. I can never remember when my obsession began. I grew up in sports and never really "girlified" myself, but once I started growing into my own and becoming a young woman, hair was just something ( I wont lie) I was good at. I went to hair stylists here and there, but I was never happy when i left. My mom thinks its my OCD that makes me unhappy when I leave the salon, but I constantly defend that I just never get exactly what i want. The old saying goes "You want something done well, do it yourself!". Oh, how true.

I figure if I screw up, at least I won't pay hundreds of dollars for something I can easily do myself. Also, when I sit in the chair at the stylists, its my damn hair, if I tell you i want something done, don't give me your opinion. Its my HAIR! ( Sorry, I tend to get a bit irritated on this subject)

So, to completely remove myself from such situations, I have been doing my own hair. I have been red, blonde , brown and black, and cut my hair short, blunt layered and long. I have never dared to dye my locks any "funky" colours like purple, pink etc (yuk!), because that is something I would never do. It's just not my style. I have long brown hair at the moment, but I am itching to chop them all off and have an extremely short do, but I am making myself wait.....for now.

I have pretty much mastered cutting, trimming, highlights, all-over dye and even hair extensions. It's all about trial and error, but the hardest part is taking the plunge and going for it. I must admit, it's kind of my drug. When people need a change, they decide to wear a dress, but me, I change my hair. My sister constantly hassles me every time I see her, because I look different. I can't help it. I love change. Now, don't get the wrong idea. I don't change it everyday, but I would have to say that I change my hair drastically more than most girls.

Since I can only do so much, I like when my friends let me style their hair. I love doing their hair before a night out or even to mess around with. It's just "my thing". It's just a great feeling when I catch them checking themselves out in the mirror. It's good to know I can give them that extra touch to feel even sexier.

My girlfriend recently asked me to put in her new glue-in track extensions, and of course, I couldn't decline. It's always fun, so i thought I would put up some pics of the process.

It ended up going smoothly, and she looks unbeweaveable! lol

Oh Cristiano!

Well well, boy meets girl. My previous post of meghan fox has met her match. Mr. Cristiano Ronaldo has been made the face for the Spring/Summer 2010 campaign for Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear, and boy oh boy, I don't think it gets any better than this.

The 24-year-old Portuguese soccer star says, ”I am very flattered to be asked to represent Armani; Giorgio Armani is a legend in the fashion world and I have long been a fan of his work. I am very pleased with the pictures we have done together - they are certainly striking and are full of an attitude and spirit that I can relate to.”

Relate to? Oh i get it, he's sexy and basically is in briefs, all wet and glorious. Who wouldn't want to relate themselves to this image? Oh hell! Who cares! The man is gorgeous.

Feathers & Furs

[caption id="attachment_180" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Classe Couture Fur vest "][/caption]

Clearly, from my earlier post about my DIY leather fur vest, I am mad about fur and feathers. It can bring coziness and flare to any outfit and I recommend it being a part of every girl's 2010 wardrobe. There are many ways to wear it and luckily, many styles to choose from. Furs are a great outdoor fashion necessity. Pairing a fur coat with a skirt or dress and heels for a night out on the town, can give elegance to a fun outfit, also on another level, a fur hood bomber or fur vest can give your casual jean and boot outfit a touch of "snow bunny" to your this look.

Feathers are stunning, but please don't over do it. Delicate feather details on dresses, skirts, hats, and collars are perfect looks. The key to the trend is elegance: no bright pink faux-feather boas, please. Ostrich, peacock, pheasant and marabou are some favourable feathers to look out for.Remember that Christina Aguilera get-up? Yeah, I don't mean THOSE kind of feathers.  Something a little more subtle will work to give your outfit just what it needs to create a sexy bohemian inspired look.

Foxy

When you think of Megan Fox, you think edgy, racy, provocative and sexy. Georgio Armani has recently placed Megan Fox as the new  face of the official worldwide advertising campaigns for Women’s Underwear and Armani Jeans for Spring Summer 2010. Sexy, they are, but the photos depict a different look for Ms. Fox, "gentle", as I like to think of it. These stunning photos of Fox were taken by renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and they did a great job showcasing Fox in Armani's effortless designs.

Winter Romance

Icy Waters

I spent my Sunday with my Man going to watch Avatar (GO SEE IT!) and enjoying the nice winter weather. I am a hopeless romantic so anytime we have a chance, we like to go for little walks to take in beautiful scenery and enjoy each others company. I luckily had my camera with me, to take some shots and my Man couldn't help but place me on a cold rock and snap a few pictures.
