Feathers & Furs

Clearly, from my earlier post about my DIY leather fur vest, I am mad about fur and feathers. It can bring coziness and flare to any outfit and I recommend it being a part of every girl's 2010 wardrobe. There are many ways to wear it and luckily, many styles to choose from. Furs are a great outdoor fashion necessity. Pairing a fur coat with a skirt or dress and heels for a night out on the town, can give elegance to a fun outfit, also on another level, a fur hood bomber or fur vest can give your casual jean and boot outfit a touch of "snow bunny" to your this look.

Feathers are stunning, but please don't over do it. Delicate feather details on dresses, skirts, hats, and collars are perfect looks. The key to the trend is elegance: no bright pink faux-feather boas, please. Ostrich, peacock, pheasant and marabou are some favourable feathers to look out for.Remember that Christina Aguilera get-up? Yeah, I don't mean THOSE kind of feathers.  Something a little more subtle will work to give your outfit just what it needs to create a sexy bohemian inspired look.
