Imbalanced mind

"Please look after my dogs. Sorry, I love you. Lee. PS. Bury me in the church", was writen by Alexander McQueen in his suicide note which was found in McQueens apartment on the back of a copy of Wolfe von Lenkiewicz's book Descent Man. His death took place in February, and after a doctor's quest to find out of his death, Dr. Paul Knapman, found sleeping pills, cocaine and tranquilizers in McQueens body. It was said that the designer "killed himself while the balance of his mind was disturbed".

His psychiatrist also stated that they had tried to get McQueen to show up for appointments but he had kept failing to show up for appointments. Also, that he had overdosed twice before this incident, and previously been treated for "mixed anxiety and depressive disorder".

What the world failed to realize is that, though McQueen seemed pleased and content in the public eye, we were unaware of his pain for his close relationships and the pressures of his career.

Something like that is hard to hear. Sometimes you never truly understand the hurt and pain one grows through in their mind. It is still sad to think such a life felt as though it should be taken, and it is only McQueen truly knows why he did what he did. However, I can only hope and beleive he is in piece. Body, mind and soul. Fortunatly for all of us, his designs and visions will live on forever.

xoxo.
